The Elements & Principles of Design: Improving Your Art Skills
The Elements and Principles of Design are the building blocks used to create a work of art.
You have been using them all along without realizing it. A good understanding of these important basics will help you to create stronger designs. You will be able to look at your own pieces, critique their layout and make adjustments for further impact.
Working purely with patterns and design you will discover answers to a series of visual problems. We will be creating some of our own paper surfaces and seek out additional materials in unlikely places. The series of projects will form a final handmade book.

Beginners are welcomed! Your personal drawing skills will not be essential to excel in this class.
Bring small sharp scissors.
The Saturday class is scheduled for December 13 from 9:30am-12noon.
