Bulletproof Your Future: Strategies for Organizational Success in Good Times or Bad
The successful organization knows where it is going and how to get there. It uses a disciplined, creative process for determining how to take the organization from where it is today to where it wants to be in the future. This process is known as strategic planning.
BUT … isn’t strategic planning just for large organizations?
Larger organizations succeed because they plan and know where they’re going. However, planning is not only the province of large organizations – all organizations, of all types and sizes, can benefit from a well-constructed strategic plan. Whether you are the sole “employee” in your organization, or head a team of 20, you can benefit from a strategic plan that defines:
Why are we in business?
What do we do?
How did we get here?
Where are we going?
How will we get there?
When will we get there?
What will it cost?
In this course about strategic planning, you will …
Learn how to focus on the important things and allocate resources (time, talent, and money) to those activities that provide the most benefit.
Become aware of your organization’s potential in light of its strengths and weaknesses.
Set realistic objectives and goals that are demanding yet attainable.
Gain control of operational problems.
Reveal and clarify future opportunities and threats.
Provide a clearer focus of the organization, producing more efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop better communications with those both inside and outside the organization.
Keep pace with changing client needs.
Identify and clarify future opportunities and threats.
Anticipate future change rather than merely react to change.
