Wire-Wrapping Techniques (for jewelry making)
Students will be exploring the different ways of manipulating wire. This will be the foundation for making earrings, bracelets, necklaces and other forms of wearable art. In exploring the wires, students will learn how to form hoops, links and simple forms of beaded embellishments with the use of different wire gauge. Once students are comfortable in wire wrapping the next stage will be making earrings using our basic skill of making links and bead embellishments.
If students take all four wire-wrapping jewelry classes, there will be a discount of $10 (regularly $100 for series, discounted at $90).
Materials can be purchased in class, or students have the options of bringing their own bead supplies.
